The Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat in Tamil Nadu is expected to see a big battle this time. As per reports, the INDIA alliance will put up a single candidate from the seat to not split votes among opposition parties. Reportedly, CPI-M and Congress might not announce any candidate from the seat which will held MK Stalin-led DMK to field a storng candidate to take on BJP which is expected to announce the name of a strong candidate for the Coimbatore seat.

The Election Commission will announce the dates for 2024 general elections on March 16.

The Coimbatore is expected to see a contest between INDIA alliance and NDA candidates. AIADMK may put up a candidate from the post separately. However, till now no party has announced its candidates from the seat.

Coimbatore 2024 Lok Sabha polls: Past Results
In 2019, P. R. Natarajan won from the Coimbatore seat with over 1.7 lakh votes. He defeated BJP's C. P. Radhakrishnan who got 3.9 lakh votes. Notably, DMK's K. Ganeshkumar came third in 2014 polls in which AIADMK's P. Nagarajan emerged as a winner — that time too BJP's C. P. Radhakrishnan came second with almost same number of votes as 2019 polls.
