India arm of British multinational group Compass Group PLC which manages large office complexes and food services for corporates, is looking to make India among the top five markets for the company, Vikas Chawla, MD of Compass Group India told ET.
The company is looking to expand its facility management business from 2 million sq ft to 10 million sq ft as employees are returning back to offices and corporates continue to lease big space.
“In India, the share of facility management business is much higher than globally and we will continue to expand both the verticals.
We believe there is a lot of scope in managing the upcoming office buildings as India continues to supply Grade A office assets,” said Chawla.
Compass Group India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Compass Group PLC and has been servicing the Indian corporate, healthcare, and education market needs since 2008. The British multinational group (member of FTSE 100) is a leading provider of contract food and support services, with a presence in 35 countries and serving more than 96 of the Fortune 100 companies.
