Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has penned a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker expressing his reservations regarding the ongoing proceedings of the Ethics Committee concerning Trinamool Congress (TMC) Member of Parliament, Mahua Moitra.
Chowdhury, in his communication, has brought attention to the intricate matter of the Ethics Committee's investigation into the conduct of Mahua Moitra. The committee plays a pivotal role in scrutinizing the ethical aspects of parliamentary members' actions, ensuring accountability and maintaining the integrity of the legislative process.
The letter emphasizes concerns raised by Chowdhury, shedding light on the need for transparency and fairness in the proceedings.
«The Dubai based Businessman who purportedly had access to the “log-in credentials” of the Member, Ms. Mahua Moitra to the Lok Sabha Portal and was placing Questions on her behalf was, as per reports, possibly not called by the Committee for deposing.
It is also not clearly known as to why the Businessman chose to turn against the Member despite his interests apparently being served by way of posing questions by using the Log in credentials,» read the letter by Chowdhury.
