Crypto Price Today: Bitcoin jumps 3%, retraces $60,000 mark. Altcoins Etherium, Dogecoin, others gain up to 1.5% on Fed outcome day
Bitcoin (BTC) shot back to levels above the $60,000 mark gaining over 3% on Wednesday ahead of the Federal Reserve’s FOMC meeting outcome later in the night, where the Central Bank could slash rates by 25-50 bps according to estimates.
BTC has recovered from its Tuesday losses and extended its 7-day lead to nearly 7%.
Major altcoins were trading mixed as cryptos including Etherium (ETH), Tether, BNB, Dogecoin, Toncoin, Tron Cardano and Shiba Inu were higher by up to 1.5% around 1:15 pm. The losers were Solana, XRP and Avalanche, which fell by up to 1.4%.
