Narottam Mishra, who wanted to ban Shahrukh Khan's Pathaan unhappy with 'besharam rang' song, is trailing in the key Datia constituency even as his Bharatiya Janata Party looks set to retain power in the central state of India.
While Narottam Mishra got 6,435 votes in the first round of vote counting out of 13 rounds, Congress' Bharti Rajendra was leading with 7,616 votes, according to ECI website.
The fight is going to be between Narottam Mishra and Bharti Rajendra as other candidates such as Bahujan Samaj Party's Lokendra Netaji or independent candidates such as Hardas Kushwah were left far behind.
Congress seemed to have failed to topple the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh that took lead in 150 out of 230 seats, according to early trends.
