Deakin University and Symbiosis International (Deemed University) SIU, a institute of higher education aims to enhance their collaboration to provide more opportunities for Indian students in liberal arts and business administration/analytics. They’re introducing dual degree and accelerated master’s programmes to offer a more global educational experience, according to an official statement.
The dual degree agreement aims to enable students at Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Bengaluru (SCMS-B), to transition to Deakin University, receiving credit for their prior learning at SCMS-B. After two years at each institution, students earn dual degrees, combining Deakin’s global connections and research excellence with Symbiosis’ dynamic learning environment, the statement mentioned.
“Symbiosis is guided by the vision of promoting international understanding through quality education and Deakin has rendered valuable partnership in offering global learning, skilling and research opportunities for our students,” S B Mujumdar, founder, president, Symbiosis Society and chancellor, SIU, said.
The accelerated master’s programme agreement allows students at Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts (SSLA) to smoothly transition to Deakin University’s programme after completing seven semesters at SSLA. The programme aims to enable students to earn both a Bachelor’s degree from Symbiosis International (Deemed University) and a Master’s degree from Deakin University, streamlining their academic path. This five-year partnership aims to offer students an enriching educational experience, bridging the gap between Australian and Indian higher education institutions, the statement added.
