The first day of the session, February 24, will see the Oath/Affirmation of the newly elected Members at 11:00 AM, marking a crucial step in the assembly's operations. Later in the afternoon, at 2:00 PM, the election of the Speaker will take place, a key event in establishing the legislative leadership for the upcoming term.
On the following day, February 25th, the Lieutenant Governor will address the House. This address is expected to highlight the government’s plans and priorities for the year. After the address, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Reports will be tabled, giving the members crucial insights into the financial matters of the Delhi government.
The session will continue with a significant debate on February 27. Starting at 11:00 AM, members will engage in a Discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the Lieutenant Governor’s Address. This will provide an opportunity for the legislators to express their views on the speech delivered by the Lieutenant Governor. Following the discussion, the Election of the Deputy Speaker will be conducted, solidifying the leadership team within the Assembly.
