The post begins with the words, ‘Breaking News, October surprise: Melania Trump says she wants to get a divorce.' In just three days, it was shared over 100 times.
The claim is untrue, according to a Donald Trump spokesperson, and Melania Trump has not publicly acknowledged it. Throughout the last few weeks of the 2024 campaign, the former first lady has repeatedly stated her support for her husband.
Melania Trump stated that she and her spouse are prepared for a second term. Karoline Leavitt, a spokesman for Donald Trump's campaign, told USA TODAY that the claim is completely untrue, as quoted in a report by USA Today.
