Yuval Noah Harari, Israeli historian, says that religion is all about answers, and spirituality is all about questions. Religion, he says, has all the answers to questions about what should be done when a baby is born, rites of passage and death. Whereas spirituality asks questions such as who am I? Where do I go from here?

Religion and spirituality involve a focus on the sacred, divine or transcendent. They explore questions about existence, morality and the nature of the universe. Spirituality is often seen as a personal journey, while religion typically provides a structured, communal framework of holy practices and beliefs. Both encourage acts of love and compassion.
However, religion is an organised practice with established doctrines, rituals and institutions, while spirituality is more fluid and individualised, allowing for personal exploration and interpretation. The former emphasises communal worship and shared beliefs, whereas spirituality focuses on individual experiences and inner growth....
