Donald Trump's most recent speech blunder was controversial billionaire Elon Musk. This past weekend, the outgoing president and current Republican nominee unintentionally called the CEO of Twitter, who recently joined X, «Leon» at a campaign speech in Wisconsin.
Trump has been allying with the CEO, whom he only recently said he would invite to serve in his second administration if he wins the 2024 election. Trump's blunder, which alluded to Musk as «Leon,» immediately set off a chain reaction of amusing responses on social media, especially on Musk's platform.
«Leon» Musk will need to launch a rocket, according to Trump. Trump mispronounced Musk's name, calling him “Leon,” which sparked a plethora of memes and jokes.

The Twitter community was not unaware of the error. Many people made fun of the former president's blunder on the platform. One user joked, «Wait till Leon meets Tim Apple,» referencing another well-known case of Apple's Tim Cook's name being mispronounced. «Leon Musk risked it all on a bullshit artist who never even bothered to learn his name,» joked one commenter, while «Wow, he can't even get Elmo's name right,» said another. «You don't just say 'Leon' when you mean Elon if you're referring to the owner of this app unless your mind is alphabet soup,» was one particularly scathing rebuttal.
