Donald Trump addressed supporters at a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania, calling for a surprising show of unity and forgiveness towards President Joe Biden. Trump’s remarks followed Biden’s recent comment describing Trump’s supporters as “garbage” during a get-out-the-vote call with Voto Latino, a statement that quickly drew criticism.
Referring to Biden's words, Trump urged his supporters to “forgive” the president, framing the appeal as a demonstration of unity amid deepening partisan divides, as mentioned in a report by Fox News.
At the rally, Trump compared Biden’s comments to Hillary Clinton’s infamous 2016 remark calling some of Trump’s supporters “deplorables.” Trump quipped, “Garbage, I think, is worse,” and went on to say, “But he [Biden] doesn’t know. You have to please forgive him.”
Trump portrayed Biden’s statements as lacking awareness, saying, “Please forgive him for not knowing what he said”, as per the Fox News report.
