Q) What is your take on the markets?
A) The market’s recent downturn stems from US trade and tariff uncertainties, a weak earnings outlook, and domestic growth challenges.
The 6% decline in February reflects FPI investor caution due to the reasons stated above. We might experience a phase of volatility, with investors focusing on value stocks, on sectors showing resilience, on clarity of growth and on segments with limited global rub off.
Q) Are we now in a fair value zone after the recent fall seen in markets or are there chances of further decline?

A) The recent market fall has brought valuations closer to historical averages, especially in the large cap segment. We still cannot say the same about the broader market.
Further declines are possible as the reasons which triggered the recent fall have all not gone away. But there are pockets of the market which have turned attractive on valuation with reasonable growth visibility.
Q) Small & Midcaps are already in a bear market – how should one play this theme in 2025?
A) Small & Midcaps have a tendency to overshoot on both the bull and bear markets. We consider diversifying portfolios, focusing on companies with strong balance sheets, long term growth prospects, and resilient business models. It’s important to approach this space seeing the broader Institutional flows and with a long-term
