Evercore's dealmaking fees slid by 26% in the first quarter, as banks struggle against an ongoing decline in M&A work.
The boutique made $462.5m in advisory fees in the first three months of the year, a drop of more than a quarter on a year earlier.
Overall revenue declined by 21% to $572.1m, while underwriting fees of $22.8m tumbled by 37%.
