Ex-KPMG partner Peter Meehan was accused of lying to a tribunal examining the alleged forgery of documents by the firm's staff during an inspection of its 2016 audit of Carillion.
Meehan told the tribunal on 17 January that he did not know that members of his team had created new meeting minutes and spreadsheets — which they allegedly misrepresented as dating from the 2016 Carillion audit — during an October 2017 inspection by the Financial Reporting Council.
