Nestle UK has declared that it will discontinue a beloved chocolate bar, and fans are thinking of a riot.
Many people have loved Caramac for their entire lives, but the business decided to discontinue it since it wasn't as popular as other products in its line. As a result, some people are now requesting that the candy firm change its mind.
Since the chocolate bar with caramel foundation first hit store shelves in 1959, Generation X and later generations have found it to be a mainstay.
It was developed by the candy company Mackintosh's prior to Nestle acquiring the brand in 1988.
But after 64 years, the beloved bar—which is free of chocolate and produced only with condensed milk and treacle—will be terminated as a result of falling sales.
A spokesperson of Nestle says that they are sorry for all the fans as they discontinuing their favourite chocolate.
The main reason for this step is that there have been no sales for many years.
The spokesperson further added although we are aware that fans will be sad to see it go, this move will allow us to concentrate on our top-performing brands and create innovative new products that will excite the taste buds of our customers.
Many people asked Nestle to reconsider its choice on social media, despite the company's claim that the bar is not as well-liked as other goodies.
«Nestle has discontinued the Caramac and I am going to riot,» wrote one person.
