stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Syrma SGS Technology(19.99%), Ami Organics(19.99%), Inox Wind Ltd.(19.79%), Gala Global Prod(18.83%), KIFS Financial(17.28%), Chemfab Alkalis(17.21%), Indo Farm Equipment(16.81%), DIC India Ltd(15.98%), Deepak Fertilisers(15.91%) and Ramgopal Poly(15.63%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 631.55 points up at 76532.96, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 205.85 points up at 23163.1.
In the Nifty50 index, 40 stocks closed in the green, while 10 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Blue Jet Healthcare, Ind-Agiv Comm, Aris Intnl, Manipal Finance and Naturite Agro Products hit their fresh 52-week high, while Shree Pacetronix, Baazar Style Retail, Dhruva Capital, Power Mech Proj and Karda Const touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
