FBI for its sixth season has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Despite the recent industry strikes causing delays, there's finally some news to share.
While an exact release date remains uncertain, fans can expect FBI Season 6 to debut in 2024. The lingering question is which part of the year it will come back. Although the writers' strike has ended, the actors' strike is ongoing. As per Deadline, the FBI writers' room is set to resume operations in the week of October 2.
This season is likely to have only 13 episodes instead of the usual 22, unless it's being held for the 2024-2025 television season.
The swift return of the FBI writers' room signals that the show might join the midseason lineup of network tentpoles. Notably, season 3, with 15 episodes, was the shortest but perhaps the best season so far.
In the meantime, fans can watch reruns of the show on CBS, airing on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET, or revisit their favorite episodes on Paramount+.
Due to the ongoing strikes, no new cast additions have been announced yet. This might change once the actors' strike concludes. There's also been no mention of any cast departures.
Expected to return are:
Missy Peregrym as Special Agent Maggie Bell
Zeeko Zaki as Special Agent Omar Adom «OA» Zidan
John Boyd as Special Agent Stuart Scola
Katherine Renee Turner as Special Agent Tiffany Wallace
Alana De La Garza as Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille
Jeremy Sisto as Assistant Special Agent in Charge Jubal Valentine
Shantel VanSanten as Agent Nina Chase
