Manchester City are eyeing Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard to replace Kyle Walker. Earlier Pavard has been a target of Manchester United. Kyle has been on the bench since the end of the last season after Pep Guardiola switched to a 3-2-4-1 formation. Though Kyle has been an important asset for the club since he signed in 2017 and has won five Premier League titles and the Champions Trophy, he is 33 years old, and he is left with only one year with him. Guardiola wants to sell him, and Bayern Munich have shown interest in him. Pavard quit Stuttgart to sign Bayern in 2019. He has made 162 appearances and has won four consecutive Bundesliga titles and the Champions League 2020. He is left with only one year of contract and can play as a right-back or centre-back and it suits Guardiola’s formation. Manchester United and Barcelona have shown interest in him. Manchester City have also signed Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea and they want to take centre-back Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig. Pavard made his football debut with Lillee in League 1 and then moved to VfB Stuttgart in 2016. He won two Bundesliga trophies in the first season and moved to Bayern Munich in 2019. He won six trophies in 2020-Bundesliga, Champions League, DFL Supercup, DFB-Pokal, UEFA Supercup, and FIFA Club World Cup. He made his international debut in 2017 and won FIFA World Cup2018, and UEFA Nations Leaguer in 2020-21.
