Ford launches From America, For America to offer employee-pricing plan as Donald Trump's auto tariffs go into effect
Ford has launched a discount campaign in an attempt to attract more buyers and cruise through the competition, as other vehicle manufacturers hike prices in order to cover the increased tariffs on imported cars and auto parts. The initiative was rolled out on Thursday as President Donald Trump's 25 per cent tariffs on imported cars and auto parts came into force.
Ford relying on healthy inventory
Ford is relying on its healthy inventory to offer its employee-pricing plan to customers as part of the ‘From America, For America’ campaign. The discounted rates will apply to most of the models across the Ford and Lincoln lineup. The campaign will run through June 2. Ford's employee-pricing scheme is officially known as the A Plan. It will allow American car buyers to purchase most of Ford 2024 and 2025 model year vehicles at discounted prices that are generally available to Ford workers.

Ford cites 'uncertain times'
«We have the retail inventory to do this and a lot of choice for customers that need a vehicle,» Ford Motor Company said in a statement cited by FOX Business. The vehicle manufacturer has cited «complexities of a changing economy» and «uncertain times» as reasons behind the campaign's introduction, the outlet noted. A few models have, however, been kept out of the campaign's ambit. The excluded models are the F-150 Raptor, Super Duty pickups, 2025 Expedition and Navigator SUVs.
