Rittner left Ardevora in December, ahead of last week's announcement that the firm will be shutting down after 14 years due to a dramatic drop in assets under management.
He joined the firm launched by former Liontrust managers Jeremy Lang and William Pattisson in 2014 from Old Mutual Asset Management, where he was an institutional business director for Europe.

During his time at Ardevora, he helped the firm grow assets from $1bn to $14bn at its height and cultivated an «extensive» client base.
In his new role at Chikara, he will help bolster the firm's ongoing expansion, notably the recent fund launch for Jonathan Asante's former Stewart Investors Emerging Market team.
This team sits alongside Richard Aston's Chikara Japan Income and Growth equity strategy, as well as Andrew Draycott and Abhinav Mehra's Chikara India equity strategy.
