Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who recently wrapped the acting schedule of her upcoming film 'Citadel', is making the most of her much-deserved break. The actress, who announced last month that she was going on a year-long acting hiatus, has been keeping her more than 28 million followers on Instagram engaged with her regular social media updates. From meditation to growing her fur family, the 36-year-old is spending quality time in her own company.
Recently, she took to social media to share pictures of her meditating session at spiritual leader Sadhguru's non-profit organisation Isha Foundation's headquarters Isha Yoga Center on the outskirts of Coimbatore. In her post, she said that she found strength in meditation. «A while ago, sitting still — without thoughts flooding, without twitching, itching, twisting, and turning — seemed almost impossible.
But today, a meditative state is my most powerful source of strength. Of calm. Of connection.
And of clarity… who would have thought that something so simple could be so powerful,» she wrote in her social media post. The actress could be seen meditating in a white traditional outfit, surrounded by fellow yogis at the meditation centre. Samantha also revealed the latest addition to her fur family – a cute cat named Gelato.
Sharing a picture of herself cuddling her new pet, the actress wished her followers a «Gelato morning.» Fans too showered her with adorable messages. Samantha already is a pet mom to two dogs — Hash and Sasha. Last month, the 'Yashoda' star decided to take a one-year-break from movies to focus on her health and battle the autoimmune condition, myositis.
