GAIL shares down 1.15% as Sensex rises

GAIL (India) Ltd. fell 1.15 per cent to Rs 217.35 in Wednesday's session as of 01:03PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 44.11 points higher at 81965.4.
Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 246.35 and a 52-week low of Rs 116.2 on NSE. Around 144083 shares changed hands on the counter till 01:03PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 220.0 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 221.1 and Rs 216.95 during the session so far. The stock quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 12.65, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 17.17 and price to book value (PB) of 1.55, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 12.85.
Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 51.92 per cent stake in the company as of September 11, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 15.2 per cent and 9.33 per cent, respectively.
