GAIL shares gain 0.57% as Sensex rises
GAIL (India) Ltd. traded 0.57 per cent higher in Tuesday's session at 11:37AM (IST). The stock opened at Rs 121.8 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 122.95 and Rs 121.8, respectively, during the session so far.
The stock quoted a 52-week high of Rs 129.5 and a 52-week low of 84.15. About 552,807 shares changed hands on the counter so far.
Benchmark Nifty50 was up 110.4 points at 19622.75, while the BSE Sensex traded 375.81 points higher at 65888.2 at the time of writing of this report.

Key Financials For the quarter ended 30-Jun-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 33000.79 crore, down 2.23 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 33753.23 crore and down 13.13 per cent from the year-ago quarter. The company reported net profit of Rs 1791.85 crore for the latest quarter.
Promoter Holdings Promoters held 51.91 per cent stake in the company as of 30-Jun-2023, while FIIs held 16.09 per cent and MFs 8.32 per cent.
Technicals On the technical charts, the 200-Day Moving Average (DMA) of the stock stood at Rs 108.05 on October 10, while the 50-DMA was at Rs 119.94. If a stock trades above 50-DMA and 200-DMA, it usually means the immediate trend is upward.
