Prior to joining GAM, Cereda (pictured) had been head of luxury goods research at Jefferies International since 2017.
Cereda will now join the European equity funds team, led by Niall Gallagher, who has been running the strategy since Ramachandran's exit. Ramachandran, who joined Artemis in September, is set to manage a soon-to-be-launched consumer brands global equity strategy.
Prior to joining GAM, Cereda had been been the head of luxury goods research at Jefferies International since 2017.

His previous experience includes eleven years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was managing director of EMEA equity research and five years at Lazard Capital Markets, where he was director of research.
Cereda also has a track record of working on twelve IPOs in the luxury brands sector, including Moncler, Brunello Cucinelli, MyTheresa and Ferragamo.
