However, a series of unsettling events quickly unveiled the chilling truth: something was seriously amiss within the village, particularly concerning the enigmatic Goto family.
Yagira Yuya, known for his role in «Nobody Knows,» is set to reprise his role as police officer Agawa. Kasamatsu Sho will return as Goto Keisuke, the head of the Goto family, and Yoshioka Riho will portray Agawa Yuki, Agawa's steadfast and supportive wife.
Yagira's remarkable performance in the series earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Busan International Film Festival's Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards.
Season two will once again be helmed by director Shinzo Katayama, with each episode crafted by the Oscar-nominated screenwriter Takamasa Oe, known for his work on Ryusuke Hamaguchi's «Drive My Car.» The production will be overseen by Teruhisa Yamamoto, the Oscar-nominated producer of «Drive My Car.» The show is an adaptation of a beloved Japanese manga series created by Masaaki Ninomiya.
