Kenya's high court has temporarily paused a plan to transfer the management of Nairobi's main airport to India's Adani Group, as reported by the Financial Times.

The court's order blocks a government proposal to give Adani a 30-year lease to operate Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, which is the largest aviation hub in East Africa.

The Adani Group did not provide an immediate response to Reuters when contacted for comment.

Last month, the Kenya Aviation Workers Union, the main aviation union in Kenya, called for a strike over the proposed deal. The union expressed concerns that the deal would lead to job losses and bring in non-Kenyan workers.
