Gavin Creel confirmed that Gavin Creel took his last breathe at his own residence in Manhattan and the untimely demise was caused due to metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma.
Broadway debut of Gavin Creel which fetched him the very first Tony nomination of his life was the ‘Thoroughly Modern Millie’ original musical back in 2002. According to Variety, Gavin Creel made his comeback to Broadway in the revival of ‘La Cage aux Folles’ in the year 2004 following which he also made his West End debut in the year of 2006 as Bert in ‘Mary Poppins’.

Gavin Creel won his well-deserved very first Tony Award in the category of best featured actor in the musical ‘Hello, Dolly’ in the year 2017. Variety noted that Gavin Creel also won a Grammy for best musical theatre album for the Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Into the Woods’ in the year 2023.
Gavin creel made his TV debut in 2003’s ‘Eloise at the Plaza’ following which he also appeared in the sequel ‘Eloise at Christmastime’. He also won the Laurence Olivier Award in the year 2014 for the role of Elder Price in the ‘The Book of Mormon’. Gavin Creel’s family has asked for some privacy in such hard times mentioning that the funeral service will be private but a memorial is planned at a future date.
