"Gold traded flat on Wednesday, with spot gold prices in the Delhi markets trading at ₹59,280/10 gram, unchanged from its previous day close," Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said. gold futures were up 0.3 per cent to $1,934.70. Spot silver slipped 0.6 per cent to $22.81 per ounce, platinum rose 0.1% to $915.70 while palladium was down 0.3 per cent at $1,238.86 Gold prices were rangebound on Wednesday in cautious trading ahead of the Federal Reserve's June policy meeting minutes due later in the day.
US manufacturing fell even more in June to 46.0, the levels last seen when the country was still recovering from the Covid-19 epidemic. On the other hand, the deflation in factory gate prices appeared to be a positive signal for the economy.
