Prominently displayed on the train bodies, a designated colored strip serves as an indicator of the specific corridor's color code. “The Aerocity–Tughlakabad Metro corridor of Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 will be 23.62 kilometers long with 15 stations.
This corridor will connect the Kashmere Gate – Raja Nahar Singh Violet Line with the Airport Express Line and will provide connectivity to many new areas in the southern part of the national capital. This corridor is expected to be made operational by March 2026," the release said elaborating on the new metro corridor.
Delhi Metro is currently working on 3 priority corridors which will cover a total distance of 65 kilometers. The operational commencement of the Majlis Park to Maujpur stretch (Pink Line), spanning 12.3 kilometers, is expected to take place around March 2025.
Simultaneously, the construction work on the Janakpuri West to RK Ashram (Magenta Line) and Aerocity to Tughlakabad (Silver Line) segments is slated to be completed by March 2026. Milestone Alert!
