A top Goldman Sachs dealmaker who left the bank in March has re-emerged as chief financial officer of FTSE 100 engineering firm Smiths Group.
Clare Scherrer, who was the London-based co-head of industrials investment banking at Goldman, is now switching out of banking to take the CFO role at Smiths, the firm said in a statement announcing a number of executive appointments.
