Google adds Canvas and Audio Overview to Gemini AI
Google has introduced two new features, Canvas and Audio Overview, to its Gemini AI platform. The features are aimed at making it easier for users to create, collaborate and learn more efficiently. The updates were announced in a recent blog post by Google.
What is Canvas?
Canvas is a new interactive workspace within Gemini that lets users create, edit and share content more collaboratively. It can be used to write documents, edit code or work on projects—everything updates in real time.
“Canvas is designed for seamless collaboration with Gemini. If you want to collaborate with others on the content you just made, you can export it to Google Docs with a click,” Google said in its blog post.
Users can easily change the tone, length or formatting of their content using quick editing tools. “Whether you're crafting a speech, need help revising an essay, a blog post or a report, Canvas can help you maximise your creative output,” it added.

Canvas also supports coding tasks. It helps users turn ideas into working code for web apps, Python scripts, games or simulations.
“Canvas empowers developers to quickly create initial working versions of their projects and provides a space for students to quickly learn coding concepts,” the company said.
