However, according to a latest report by 9to5Google, the Listen to this page feature is getting a major upgrade and can now continue playing the music even when exiting the Chrom app and open other applications.

Meanwhile, when tapping on the reader in Chrome, there is also an option to adjust the playback speed from 0.5x to 4x and select from 10 different voices.Moreover, Google also allows adding a dedicated play button for webpages by long pressing on the new tab icon, clicking on edit shortcut and change to Listen to this page.
Notably, Chrome is already one of the most popular browsers on Android and with the latest updates it has also gone neck and neck with Listen to Page feature on Safari which offers similar functionality. Milestone Alert!
