Government panel recommends Challa Sreenivasulu Setty as next SBI Chairman

government panel on Saturday recommended Challa Sreenivasulu Setty's name for the position of chairman of the State Bank of India (SBI), after meeting with three candidates for the post.
«Financial Services Institutions Bureau interfaced with 3 candidates on June 29, 2024 for the position of Chairman in State Bank of India,» the panel said in a release.
The Bureau added that taking performance and experience into consideration, Setty was their choice for the job.
«Keeping in view their performance in the interface, their overall experience and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommends Shri Challa Sreenivasulu Setty for the position of Chairman in SBI,» the release added.
