Among them is the proposal to appoint governors to states only after consultation and approval from respective chief ministers. This move seeks to foster a more cooperative relationship between the Centre and the states.
Critiquing the Centre's National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for medical admissions as biased and an imposition of Hindi, AIADMK advocates for a return to the use of plus two marks for admission processes.
«The party will urge the Centre to extend a monthly cash dole of Rs 3,000 to woman heads of poor families,» stated the manifesto, underscoring a commitment to addressing economic disparities.
Additionally, AIADMK aims to establish a regional bench of the Supreme Court in Chennai and host the winter session of Parliament in the same city. The party accuses the Centre of linguistic imposition by renaming criminal laws, and pledges to resist such changes.
Further, AIADMK emphasizes the importance of social justice in executing centrally sponsored schemes, vowing to increase the central and state government share to 75:25, up from the existing 60:40 ratio.
Recognizing Tamil Nadu's disproportionate share of funds in central schemes, the party promises to boost allocations and expand beneficiary coverage.
