McManus will emerge as the most successful owner in the history of Grand National if any of his five horses competing in Saturday's race clinches victory. This would mark his fourth win. Apart from the fan-favourite I Am Maximus, his stable also features Iroko, Meetingofthewaters, Perceval Legallois and Chantry House.
The Aintree racecourse, situated in Sefton, has been hosting the festival since 1839, with Red Rum standing tall as the highly successful horse in Grand Nationals after winning three steeplechase races.
