Yes, you read that right! The most expensive ticket for the upcoming epic sci-fi fantasy is being sold in Mumbai.
Maison INOX at Jio World Plaza in BKC is offering tickets for Kalki 2898 AD at Rs 2,300. Close behind are INOX Insignia at Atria Mall, Worli, and PVR ICON at Phoenix Palladium, Lower Parel, with ticket prices of Rs 1,760 and Rs 1,560, respectively. These prices are exclusive of taxes. In Gurugram, PVR Directors Cut at Ambience Mall is selling tickets for Rs 1,850, while in New Delhi, PVR Select City Walk is pricing them at Rs 1,700. In Hyderabad, the highest ticket price is capped at Rs 600.
Although Andhra Pradesh had earlier put a cap on ticket prices, the government recently gave a nod to hiking ticket prices for the upcoming Prabhas-Deepika Padukone-Amitabh Bachchan-starrer.
According to a government directive, the ticket prices for single-screen theaters have been raised to Rs 75, while multiplexes are permitted to charge up to Rs 125.
Furthermore, the government has sanctioned the screening of five shows per day for up to 14 days following a film's release, instead of the usual four.
