Lok Sabha elections, heirs of 45 former princely states in Gujarat have adopted a resolution to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third consecutive term. The decision was made in the «broader national interest» and to «protect Sanatan Dharma.»
The meeting, termed a 'contemplation meeting,' was organized by Mandhatasinh Jadeja, the scion of the Rajkot royal family. The gathering was prompted by ongoing protests within the Kshatriya community against Rajkot BJP candidate and Union Minister Parshottam Rupala, which has led to discontent within the community towards the BJP.
Jadeja spoke highly of PM Modi, describing him as «an ascetic and a brave man working for the well-being and protection of 145 crore Indians.» The meeting saw the presence of heirs from 28 states, with 16 declaring their support through letters. Notable among them were letters from the empress of Kutch, Priti Devi, and the king of Bhavnagar state, Vijayrajsinhji.
Jadeja emphasized the importance of a strong government in the current global scenario, stating, «It is the view of all royal families that the 2024 election is for the bright future of our next generation, culture & Sanatan Dharma.»
Addressing the ongoing protests by the Kshatriya community, Jadeja expressed optimism, saying, «Dialogue between the coordination committee (of Kshatriya community) and BJP leaders is on, and I believe the issue will be settled soon.»
