A day after film-maker Hansal Mehta complained of a severe stomach bug, entrepreneur-turned-investor Kunal Bahl revealed that he fell prey to it too last week in Mumbai. Taking to Twitter, the Snapdeal founder quote-tweeted Mehta's post and said he got a severe infection to last week after a trip to Mumbai. Despite a full course of antibiotics, he has been still suffering from the bug.
He even called it the «worst stomach infection» of his life. «That's interesting. I got the same severe infection last week after a trip to Mumbai and have been reeling under it.
Doesn't seem to be getting fixed even after a full course of antibiotics. Probably, the worst stomach infection I have ever gotten in my life,» he tweeted. On Thursday, Mehta expressed his frustration, blaming the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the government for failing to provide safe drinking water to the citizens.
The director, who revealed he developed a stomach infection, took to Twitter to voice his grievances and tagged the BMC, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, demanding action. «I developed a terrible stomach infection this morning. It hit me before I’d even eaten.
Spoke to my family doctor and he said that he is seeing at least 10 patients with similar symptoms every day and some have been hospitalised. The infections seem to be from a bug originating in our drinking water. It is ridiculous that a city that is the financial capital of the country and the capital of a state with two deputy CMs cannot provide basic clean drinking water to its citizens.
