For those unfamiliar with the case, actor Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered lifeless in his residence in Mumbai’s Bandra locality on June 14, 2020. The 34-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling, leading to widespread shock and speculation.
Following his demise, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) took Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, Shouvik Chakraborty, into custody. Both were subjected to extensive interrogations on multiple occasions as part of the investigation linked to Rajput’s death.
Meanwhile, the central investigative agency handling the case submitted two separate closure reports concerning the matter. One report pertained to an abetment to suicide complaint filed by Rajput’s father, KK Singh, while the other stemmed from a counter-complaint lodged by Rhea Chakraborty against Rajput’s sisters, according to officials.
The closure report addressing KK Singh’s allegations was presented before a special court in Patna, Bihar, whereas the findings in Chakraborty’s case were submitted to a special court in Mumbai.
