health snack brand Epigamia has elevated its cofounder and chief operating officer Rahul Jain to the role of chief executive officer.
He succeeds Rohan Mirchandani, the other cofounder who has now moved into the role of executive chairman.
Ankur Goel, a founding member of Epigamia who has overseen the company's supply chain and business intelligence functions, has been elevated to the post of COO.
In his new role, Jain will be spearheading the company’s overall business and creating a unique proposition in the FMCG space, developing strategies to stay competitive, identifying new opportunities, and fostering innovation, Epigamia said in a news release.
An IIT-Bombay and Indian School of Business-Hyderabad alumnus, Jain began his career in finance, working for Deutsche Bank’s Credit Structuring team. After his MBA, he launched Doctor Moo – an organic milk brand — before partnering with Mirchandani to launch Epigamia.
Over the previous year, Epigamia has undertaken strategic measures to streamline its cost structure across diverse functions leading to significantly improved profit margins, the company said.
The brand retails via 20,000-plus touchpoints in more than 30 towns.
