
'Hell will rain down': Trump launches large-scale strikes on Yemen's Houthis, issues blistering war threat
Donald Trump launched a full-fledged large-scale military strikes against Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis on Saturday over the group's attacks against Red Sea shipping, killing at least 24 people at the start of a campaign expected to last many days. Trump's big warning to Houthis
Trump on Saturday announced that the US had launched a series of military strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen as war in the Middle East rages. In a furious four-word threat, he said «hell will rain down.»
«Today, I have ordered the United States Military to launch decisive and powerful Military action against the Houthi terrorists in Yemen,» he wrote in a long Truth Social post just before 2:30 p.m. EDT.
At least nine civilians were killed in the strikes, according to Yemen's Houthi-run Health Ministry. The move is being called Trump's most significant military action of his second term to date as he nears the end of its second month.
