Honor 100 series has officially been launched in China. The line-up spawns two models, to no one’s surprise. There’s the Honor 100 Pro and a more affordable Honor 100. Both smartphones feature a flashy exterior and support up to 100W fast wired charging. For some curious reason, they’re stuck with Android 13 at launch, but at least the hardware is potent. An interesting bit about these phones is that Honor has outfitted them with a custom C1 RF-chip and so, in theory, they’ll be able to latch on to networks, both cellular and Wi-Fi, more seamlessly and efficiently to ensure that users have stable connectivity regardless of where they are, even inside a high-speed train.
The Honor 100 Pro has a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K (2700×1224p) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and can top 2,600nits. You get a pill-shape hole punch cut-out in this phone with dual front cameras, 50-megapixel main and another 2-megapixel depth. On the back, the Honor 100 Pro has three cameras headlined by a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor behind an f/1.95 aperture lens with optical image stabilisation. This is paired with an 8-megapixel ultrawide and another 32-megapixel 2.5x telephoto.
Under the hood, you get the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast wired and 66W wireless charging support baked in. Running the show is Honor’s MagicOS 7.2 which is based on Android 13.
The Honor 100 on the other hand has a bit smaller 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K (2664×1200p) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports 3840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and can top 2,600nits,
