According to a report published in Politico, Ramaswamy's exit follows a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) where he criticized American culture and its hiring practices, particularly the H-1B visa program. The backlash from this statement, which aligned with Musk’s and Donald Trump’s views on American workforce dynamics, ultimately hastened his departure from DOGE.

How long can Musk survive with Trump?
With Vivek Ramaswamy out of Department of Government Efficiency leaving Elon Musk alone at the helm, speculations are rife as to how long Elon Musk will survive in Donald Trump's good books. Trump's former aide Anthony Scaramucci who was fired as his communications director in 11 days during his first term said Elon musk will outlast most of the new crowd as he brings in a lot of money. But he will not last more than a year, Scaramucci said.
