Hugh Hendry, one of the UK's best-known hedge fund managers, is shutting his $30.6m global macro fund, telling his investors "it wasn't supposed to be like this".
Eclectica Asset Management, the firm set up by Hendry in 2005, confirmed the closure of the fund, which has been battling mounting losses since the start of 2016 after years of strong performance.
