Currently, a trough extends from Chhattisgarh to northern Tamil Nadu, passing through Vidarbha and interior Karnataka at the same altitude. The wind discontinuity from the aforementioned cyclonic circulation above Marathwada to Coastal Andhra Pradesh via Vidarbha and southern Chhattisgarh, also at 0.9 km above mean sea level, has diminished.
