The institute’s fellowship underwent its last revision during FY2018-19. As per the latest revision, which is scheduled for implementation in the next financial year starting April, scholars in the first two years will be eligible for a stipend of Rs 42,000 versus the current amount of Rs 35,000, on completion of qualifying exam the amount will be Rs 45,000 versus Rs 37,500 and on completion of thesis proposal the revised stipend stands at Rs 50,000 versus Rs 40,000.
“Our DPM graduates are a crucial source of talent for management researchers and faculty in leading national and international academic institutions, as well as industry, business, government, and society.
This initiative will further motivate talented scholars to dedicate themselves to learning and inspire them to pursue research as a viable and rewarding career option,” said Debashis Chatterjee, Director of IIM Kozhikode, which is currently inviting applications for its DPM programmes.
Two-thirds of IIMK’s DPM graduates have been placed as faculty members in institutes like IIMs and IITs and top universities in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Other DPM graduates have received job offers from reputed corporate organisations, the institute said in a press release.
