Accenture Japan, American Express, Axis Bank, Axtria India, Bajaj Auto & Chetak Technology, Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Cisco, EXL Service, Futures First, Google, ICICI Bank, Jaguar Land Rover India, JP Morgan & Chase, Merilytics, Microsoft, Navi, Oracle India., Qualcomm India, Reliance Industries, Sprinklr, Texas Instruments and Zepto were among the companies that participated in the placements drive, according to the statement issued by IIT-R.
The institute said it has received 23 international offers so far and that more are expected in the second phase of placements.
ET had reported at the beginning of the placements drive that US software company Databricks had made an offer of about Rs 2.05 crore at IIT-R for an international role. According to a source, the bulk of the compensation would comprise restricted stock units. The Institute did not comment on this.
Apport Technologies, 91 square feet, BNY Bellon, Axxela Advisory Services, Blume Global, Cybertech Systems and Software, Dolat Capital Market, Minimalist, Quintics Management Consultancies, and Samsung R&D Noida were some of the other companies that came for the placements, the institute had said in a statement at the end of day 4.
Like the other institutes, the IITs have been facing a tough placement season amid a tech hiring slowdown and a general pullback in
