ET Intelligence Group: The weight of the capital goods sector in the portfolio of foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) rose to a record 3.9% in the first fortnight of August from around 2.7% a year ago, data from NSDL show.Drawn by the burgeoning order books of capital goods companies, FPIs have invested close to $2.8 billion in the sector on a year-to-date basis accounting for nearly one-fifth of the total FPI inflow during the period.
