


In 2024, there will be more funding for startups than last year: Sanjeev Bikhchandani
Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Co-Founder, Info Edge, talking to ET Now at the sidelines of startup mahakumbh says: “McKinsey in collaboration with CII released a report about which there was a discussion here also, which is called Unicorn 2.0 and that report said that in the last 10 years, roughly 13% to 15% of India's GDP growth has come from the startup ecosystem. In my view, that is a conservative estimate and this number is likely to go up as we go along”.
On Governance Issues in Fintechs like Paytm
Sanjeev Bikhchandani: I think governance is important. You cannot build a large sustainable company which is durable for a long time unless you are well governed and governance, in my view, begins and ends inside the founder's head. I will be honest, I will be clean, I will do the right thing, say the right thing and be truthful and fair to everybody.

And do you think fintech is going to make a comeback, make a bounce back after everything that has gone with different sorts of players in the last few months?
Sanjeev Bikhchandani: It will certainly make a comeback. It has not gone anywhere. There are many fintech companies and even Paytm should make a comeback.
