India and France strengthen defence ties: MBDA and Naval group set to boost 'Make in India' initiative

MBDA, Europe’s leading missile manufacturer is looking to set up unit in India. Head of Naval systems in MBDA missile Systems, Stefano Bertuzzi told ET, " We are planning to have a unit in India in next three to four years. "
Naval Group India is the first subsidiary of any Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) platform designer to establish it physical presence at Karwar.
Vice president marketing of Naval Group, Stephen Meunier told ET, " We are fully complaint with make in India initiative. We have decided to provide six Scorpene class submarines, already we have given five and one will give soon. There is negotiations for another three Scorpene. "
Three exhibitors from India are among the 500 exhibitors are expected at EURONAVAL 2024.This year, 13 countries will be organising their own national pavilion (Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States). A new edition of the Euronaval 2024 exhibition will be held at the Paris-Nord Villepinte exhibition Centre from 4th to 7th November 2024.
